December=12 Days of Quilting!
Happy Holidays to all our fellow Quilters!
Comforts of Home will be CLOSED on Wed. Dec. 5th in memory of Mary's father, who passed away Fri. Nov. 30th.
We are happy that December is here, and we have put our heads together to come up with some fun, involve you, our readers and fellow quilters, plus save you money...all at the same time!
But before we get into the details of that idea of ours, we want to remind you that we are now signing interested quilters up for the 2013 Block of the Month. It is pictured here as you can see, using Primitive Gatherings fabric by Moda. It will also be available in Kansas Troubles, and Batiks! Isn't is cute? SO! We need you to call the shop and get your name on the list so we can order enough fabric, and make up the monthly kits. If you live far away and cannot come to our meetings on the 3rd Thurs. of the month starting in Jan., call and talk to Trish or Mary and they can set you up to get this through the mail. Here is a picture of the color line in the other 2 choices of fabric...

Now for our idea for the 12 days of Quilting!
We would like to involve you, our readers. For those of you who participate, we will give put your name in for a drawing for a Gift Certificate ( and of course it is Christmas, so the amount is a surprise!) at the end of the 12 days of Christmas.
We would like to ask you to send us your favorite tip, or idea to make quilting easier, faster, or more organized. Here is a small example in case you don't know what we mean...
I am saving all the selvege ends of the fabric I purchase and use to someday make a Selvege Bag. I cut the selvege edges off leaving a 1/4 inch for my seams, and I am putting them in a clear jar right on my ledge! They add to my decor, too! And, you can add a photo if you'd like... as demonstrated here...or even a video clip demonstrating your tip! Go for it!!
We will start the 12 days of Christmas Quilting on December 6th, and end on December 19th. We will not include Sunday as part of the 12 days, so it gives you a little extra time to think! One entry per person, please, but you may give more than one idea in your e-mail to us. So! Email Trish at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. We will share all thewise information in
future e-mails. The winner will be announced Dec. 20th via e-mail, and a sign at the COH Shop and at the Block of the Month meeting as it is on Dec. 20th. Any questions, give us a call at 701-252-5691.
Christmas kits and Christmas fabric will continue to be 35% off, until gone for the rest of Dec.
