Minot Prairie Quilt Festival Info and more...
Hello Fellow Quilters! Happy January!
Here is a little bit of information re: the Minot Prairie Quilt Festival coming up on March 21st-23rd. Comforts of Home will be one of the vendors there, so we hope to meet up with some of you there! Mark your calendars. I have just cut and pasted the opening letter, but if you want to go there yourself, click here www.minotquilters.com
Welcome Quilting Friends!
It's the 21st annual Minot Prairie Quilt Festival March 21, 22 and 23, 2014. Whether you are a brand new quilter or an experienced hand, or anywhere in between, we hope you will "Give Your Imagination Wings" at this year's event! Our selection of classes, lectures and demos has something for everyone so we hope you take full advantage of our offerings. That special shortcut, technique, tip, book or pattern is waiting for you.
Quilters from all over the area will be gathering for three days of hands-on quilting classes, sharing tips and more. Even though some of us have been quilting for years, we can still learn something new. Many of you think of Festival as a party or even a reunion. We hope this year holds true for you.
We are very pleased this year to have as our national teachers Brenda Henning of Bear Paw Productions and quilt historian Mary W. Kerr. Mary will also be our banquet speaker. Both ladies are offering such great classes that we're sure you will have a hard time deciding which to take and which will have to wait for another opportunity.
Jennifer Feller, our current teacher chair, past Festival chair and past almost everything else has agreed to be our Featured Quilter. We are truly honored to have such a talented and giving quilter to highlight this year.
A main stay of Festival is our vendors. We are sure they are working hard: getting their fabrics, kits, patterns and tools ready so you will have lots to shop for during these three days. All of the vendors are listed here in the catalog so please feel free to contact them ahead of time if you need help locating an item needed for your classes or any of your current projects. The hours of the quilt show, flea market, tea room, class schedules and when the registration table is open are listed on the back cover. Remember, it is only $3.00 to come and view the quilt show and shop our vendor mall but it is FREE to our registrants. Be sure to check out all the beautiful quilts located in the vendor mall area along with the ones across the hall in the banquet room and the Community Service quilts in the tea room. Quilts by our national teachers are on display as well as our challenge quilts with, of course, the theme "Give Your Imagination Wings". the cost is $3.00 for the quilt show and the Vendors Mall!!
Hope this wet your whistle! There is more to read and registration information, but I will leave that up to you to check it out!
Here at the shop, we have new fabrics coming in, and flying out the door! Next week, we expect the Basic Grey II fabrics to arrive, so don't stay away too long!
Also, don't forget about our Sew Saturday that starts Feb. 1st! Give us a call to hold the first packet! 701-252-5691
Hope you are all quilting up a storm in this cold weather!
